Upgrading from Rubber Buttons to a Rocker Switch

The original Underwater Rubber Buttons have been upgraded to an easy-to-install Rocker Switch. This job only takes a few minutes and you’ll be pleased with the improved switch operation.

Step 1:

Turn off the power at the GFCI for 1 minute, and then turn it back on. If the message clears, it was likely a false error reading. Your spa should now return to its normal operation.

Step 2:

Slide the pivot out of rocker.

Step 3:

Place the pivot piece as shown with the “hooks” facing down. Use a pencil to draw a line on either side of the pivot.

Step 4:

Fill the space between the lines with Super Glue. Don’t let it run into the top and bottom holes.

Step 5:

Hold the pivot until the super glue begins to set, (30- 60 seconds). Consider wearing rubber gloves for this; I didn’t and my fingers stuck to everything for 5 minutes.

Step 6:

Slide the rocker back into the pivot. It goes in easily and the magnets keep it in place.

Step 7:

The completed rocker system looks like this and operates much better than the original rubber buttons.
