Replacing the ClearZone CD Chip is quick, easy, and only requires a Phillips head screwdriver. For best results, replace this chip every 12 months.
1. Turn off all power at the GFCI
2. Remove the access door panel

3. The ClearZone Generator Assembly
looks like this and is mounted with 2
screws to a wall in the equipment area.
Remove the complete assembly from the
wall. You should not need to unplug the
cord to perform this work.

4. Remove the 3 screws from the back
of the unit.

5. Separate the back plate from the
main box. Look carefully at the way
the wires lay in the box. You’ll want
to come as close as possible to
duplicating this when completing
the re-assembly.

6. Lift the CD chip out of the main box.

7. Unplug all 3 connectors leading
to the CD Chip. Each connector has
a different shape so it’s impossible to
re-assemble incorrectly. Then
reconnect the 3 new plugs.

8. Re-seat the CD Chip and wires in
the main box. The lid should fi t
easily onto the box without forcing
anything. Look at Step 5 if you
need some clues.
9. Re-attach the lid with the 3
screws from step 4.
10. Re-install the ClearZone Ozone Generator Assembly to its original
place on the equipment frame.
11. Turn power back on at the GFCI. A light should be visible through
the window on the front of the generator assembly. This tells you the
replacement is successful and everything is working properly.
12. Replace the access door panel
